Obituary - Patchogue, December 8- Mrs. Blanche Belmont, 76, who formerly for 12 years was Brookhaven Town Overseer of the Poor, died today at her home, 136 Conklin Avenue, Patchogue. She was the widow of Frederick A. Belmont.
Mrs. Belmont, the only woman ever elected overseer of the poor in Suffolk County, lived here for the past 33 years. Long active in Republican party politics, she was a former Republican committee woman, and a member of the Lincoln Republican Club of Patchogue.
Funeral services will be held at her home at 2 p.m. Monday with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Patchogue. A son, Champ Belmont, survives.
