JACKSONVILLE—John B. Jarman, 34, of Whiting Naval Air Station in Milton, Fla., drowned Sunday afternoon. The body is being returned to Jacksonville for burial. Arrangements will be announced later. A native of Jacksonville, he was graduated from Jacksonville High School and served in the U.S. Navy for several years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Janet Jarman; and one daughter, Letha Jarman, both of Milton, Fla.; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Jarman; two brothers, Richard and G. W. Jarman; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Parker, Mrs. Virginia Macon, and Mrs. Nellie Witherow, all of the South West area of Onslow County. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel by Elder L. L. Yopp and Elder T. H. Edwards. Burial will be in Onslow Memorial Park.
