Jewell Kelley Beason (1909-1960)
are buried beneath a double headstone.
Theirs are the only graves in this plot.
Information other than that found inscribed on grave was taken from U.S. Census enumerations for 1900 (with parents and siblings in Arbacoochee, Cleburne, Alabama,) 1910 (with parents and siblings in Pine Knot, Cleburne, Alabama,) 1920 (with parents and siblings in Sim Knot, Cleburne, Alabama,) 1930 (with spouse and son in Hartsfield, Colquitt, Georgia) and 1940 (with spouse and children in Moultrie, Colquitt, Georgia;) and Georgia Deaths, 1919-98 (Certificate 015811, showing residence in Colquitt County;) and Social Security Death Index (showing last residence in Ochlocknee, Thomas, Georgia.)
Note that the memorial for Clyde Beason, Jr. gives his middle initial as "J." That is how his name is shown on the family's 1930 Census, but on the 1940 Census he is shown as "Clyde Beason Junior." I can't find that Clyde Sr. ever used a middle initial, so I think that the 1930 "J." stood for "Junior," rather than for a middle name.
