Irene Heck May 3, 1920 – July 14, 2012 Irene Heck, age 92 of Monroe, died at 9:33 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She had been in poor health for a year. Friends may call from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Lawrence Detruf, Pastor of First Church of God will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born May 3, 1920 in LaFollette, Tennessee, she was the youngest of nine children born to William and Lillian (Parrott) Butler. She married Horace Heck on March 9, 1937 in Bowling Green, Ohio. He died July 17, 1990. Irene is survived by three children, Glen (Bonnie) Heck, Dorothy (Robert) Giebel, and Delores Brooks, all of Monroe; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Horace, Irene was preceded in death by a son Troy Heck and eight brothers and sisters.
