Mr. James Butler, age 62, passed into eternal rest on Friday, February 22, 2008, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Pulaski, Ga. He was a Bulloch County native and a contractor for Swim Pro. He graduated from William James High School Class of 1964. He served his country in the United States Army Air Borne Division.

He leaves to cherish fond memories to his children, Janette (Tyrone) Adams and TiJuan Renee (Cedric) Vickers, both of Atlanta, Kenneth Allen, Chevvil Shipman, Phillip Shipman and Jerry Mikell, all of Statesboro, James Butler Jr. of San Diego, Texas, Calvin Butler and Keshia (Joe) Stewart, both of Alabama, Angela (Bernard) Reed of Brooklet and Juanita (Mario) Espinoza of Houston, Texas; one sister, Betty (Marvin) Mainer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four brothers, Robert Lee Butler, Earl Butler and Dennis (Darlene) Butler, all of Statesboro, and Willie Butler of Metter; a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. at Thomas Grove Baptist Church on East Olliff Street in Statesboro. The Rev. Brock Taylor, pastor/ presiding, and Elder Robert Taylor, eulogist. Interment will be in Eastside Cemetery. Service of comfort entrusted to the care of Craig R. Tremble and Sons Funeral Home.
