Family and friends gathered at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home for a visitation on Tuesday, July 17, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service was held at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 18, at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Larry Blackmon officiating. "All Is Well With My Soul" was sung by Bertha's niece, Claire Nash McNair. Interment followed at Norwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Hall, Jason Hall, Jordan Hall, Mark Pelton, and Pete Engler.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; brothers, John King Davidson and Sam Norris Davidson; and a sister, Clara Mae Nash.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, John E. and Sandra L. Hall of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Billy G. and Brenda Hall of La Porte, Texas; a brother, Frank Norman Davidson of Eagle Lake, Texas; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Kay of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Greg, Cheri, Jason, Mindy, Tara, Darla, and Jordan; and 13 great-grandchildren.
