She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. O'Riley and came with her parents to Montana in 1896. Her father was a contractor on the Great Northern Railway when it expanded into Central Montana. She attended the first school in Valley county when the county was created in 1896. She married Dan Nicholson on January 16, 1906 in Exeter. He was a rancher and they lived in the Dodson area their entire married life. He died in 1950. Survivors include three sons: Dan and Victor of Dodson and James B. of Fairfield; a sister, Mrs. Edgar Lee of Conrad, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
