Caroline Brown, daughter of Buel and Rhoda (Edwards) Brown, traveled with her parents from Diana, Lewis County, New York arriving in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Territory in May 1837 aboard the steamer PENNSYLVANIA. She grew up on her parents farm just north of Milwaukee.
