Alan had a great passion for life. He was an Air Traffic Controller at LA-X in Los Angeles, California. He received his pilot license in 1972. He was forced to retire on a medical due to asthma. He received a degree from Missouri State University in Construction Technology in 1982. He moved to Oklahoma City where he was an instructor for FAA at Will Rogers Airport. He loved salmon fishing in Alaska. He had an excellent recipe for smoked salmon, not surprising since he was a great cook. He enjoyed horse racing and became an owner of three beginning 1989. We were neighbors at the apartment where we took turns adopting stray cats. We moved to the country in 1991, brought the cats with us and got lots of other animals .. we had our little farm on 5 acres.
