Edna Alberta Rivers Charlton was the daughter of William Stratton Jones Rivers, and his wife Sarah "Sallie" Dandridge Nickels Rivers. Her date and place of death came from her death certificate. She married William Malcomson Charlton on 14 MAR 1894, in Jefferson County KY. Their first child died on 29 APR 1899, and was buried at Cave Hill Cemetery. Their other children were Grace who married Pastor Randolph Atkinson, and William Jones Charlton.
