Above family info. contributed by Frank Linton after looking at census data and obituaries. The above Howard T. Old refers to owner of Howard Old farm Little Catawba Road Botetourt County whose property consisted of his family's burial ground including the burial of his grandfather Thomas J. Old who died in 1917. It is believed that Thomas J. was a brother of Madison Alan Old(1836-1909)and that they were the sons of Charles and Mary (Snodgrass)Old. Green Hogan who died in 1902 and his wife Elmira (Caldwell)Hogan who passed in 1906 are also buried here as are a number of their children.Green Hogan had a large family. He was well-known in the Catawba community. With the re-interment of one person with the surname Old and two persons with the surname Hogan from a cemetery at Peter's Creek Road Roanoke County Old the cemetery's name denotes some type of alliance between the two families. Hence, the cemetery has been named the Old-Hogan Cemetery.
