Bessie's parents were Andrew and Anna Hegman. They came to Isanti Co, Minnesota from Sweden in 1870. She and her brothers Pehr and Olof W. were born in Sweden. Her other three brothers were born in Minnesota. They were Andrew M, Peter and Jonas. Most of the family is buried in Isanti Co, Minnesota. Bessie's real name was "Brita" given at birth. She married August Laserth in 1898 and later Clarence E. Lamphier. Clarence died in 1955 in Tacoma. WA.
