Mr. Stepanek was retired seed salesman for the Mangelsdorf Seed Company in Atchison, Kansas.
He was born July 28, 1904, in Ellinwood, the son of Joseph and Mary Buhman Stepanek. She was a longtime Cuba resident.
Mr. Stepanek was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Cuba and the Cuba Booster Club.
He married Laura Esabel Stepanek on June 10, 1936, at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Bowman, Cuba; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
