Gladys Gail Anderson, a very loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, of Rosedale, passed away very peacefully at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, after a long struggle with cancer. She was the matriarch of her family and gave love, support and advice to all who knew her. She will surely be missed more than can be measured. She was born Dec. 22, 1938, in Blanford, the daughter of William Hamilton Webster and Bessie Webster. She was a certified dietary manager for Meadows Manor North, and a member of the Dietary Managers Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Diana Lou Anderson; two sisters, Carolyn Kerr and Sally Ramsey; and a brother, Darol Webster.
She is survived by her children, Charles Hamilton Anderson, and Brenda Gail Wright, both of Rosedale, Joseph Samuel Anderson of Greencastle, Melvin Eugene Anderson of Indianapolis, and Delores Ann Anderson of Rosedale; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Stella Jane Shidler, Susanna Webster, Wilma Lawson, Ronald Webster, Walter Webster and Hester Feiltz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Frist Funeral Home, 458 Blackman St., in Clinton. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday
