Husband of Sarah E (Mensch) Burger
Son of Abraham & Magdalena (Hower) Burger

ISAAC BURGER, one of the old settlers of Jordan Township, died very suddenly yesterday afternoon at two o'clock. He had been in poor health for three or four years, but of late he had been feeling better. Last Saturday he was at Sterling; upon his return home he had an attack (his heart and kidneys were affected) in his woodhouse. He rallied from this, and yesterday morning felt exceptionally well. He was stricken as stated above, in the afternoon, and dropped over dead. He was 77 years old last December (the 6th).
He was born in Columbia county, Pennsylvania; settled in Lee county in 1855 and in the following years removed to Jordan, where he lived until his death. He leaves a wife and three sons and four daughters. Mr. Burger was well and favorably known, being a worthy citizen. He was comfortably well off and leaves his widow provided for. The children are all married and settled in life. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 3 o'clock p.m. He will be buried in the East Jordan Cemetery.
