Pearl A. Adam, 91, formerly of West Sixth Avenue, Clearfield, and most recently of Presbyterian Home of Moshannon Valley, Philipsburg, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at the home.
Born Dec. 22, 1911, in Mountaindale, she was a daughter of Homer E. Weston and Lenora Mae (Hollen) Weston.
She was a bookkeeper with the former Clearfield Dairy and in Huntingdon with Martin H. Heine Buick and also the former Zimmerman Building Supply of Clearfield.
She was a member of the Clearfield Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of Clearfield Order of the Eastern Star, a former member of Philipsburg Presbyterian Home Auxiliary and was an adviser to the Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
She is survived by two children, a son, Roger W. Adam and his wife, Pat, of Clearfield, and a daughter, Joyce A. Norris and her husband, John, of Johnstown; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Zelda Burkholder of Altoona and Marjorie Grove of Port Matilda; and a brother, Melvin Weston of Hollentown.
Mrs. Adam was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard B. Adam, whom she married on March 31, 1934, and who died on April 27, 1995; and a sister, Mildred Frye.
Funeral services will be held at Clearfield Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Douglas S. Pride and Richard Barkley officiating.
Interment will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, today from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of services.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Presbyterian Church, 119 N. Second St., Clearfield, the Shaw Public Library, 1 S. Front St., Clearfield, or to the American Cancer Society, 119 E.
