Caroline J. Denk, age 84, of 1404 S 36th St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon, October 1, 1993 at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 4, 1993 at 9:30 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Roman Zbieranski OFM will be presiding at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clarks Mills. She was born September 12, 1909 in Cato, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia Grall Gresl. She married Harvey R. Denk, May 6, 1930 in Whitelaw, Wis. He preceded her in death July 13, 1984. Mrs. Denk was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Marys. She was very active as a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, LeRoy and LaVerne Denk, Two Rivers, Dennis and Marion Denk, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Orville Radandt, Omro, Wis., Audrey and LeRoy Christiansen, Manitowoc; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Joseph Denk, Wilbert and Edna Denk, Oscar and Marie Denk, all of Manitowoc; one sister, Mrs. Ted (Barbara) Schmitt, Appleton; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; she is further survived by one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Wilfred (Shirley) Denk, Nevada, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Alfred(Emily) Gresl, Appleton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son, Wilfred; three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home this Sunday evening from 4 – 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Father Roman.

PRETTY CEREMONY IS PERFORMED AT WHITELAW TODAY
One of the charming spring weddings to be celebrated was that of Miss Caroline Gresl, who became the bride of Harvey Denk at Whitelaw, at the St. Michael’s church at nine o’clock this morning. The ceremony was read before a large gathering of relatives and friends by Rev. Theo Pufahl.
Miss Marie Gresl attended the bride as the maid of honor with Alfred Gresl as the best man. Miss Nora Tuschel was the bridesmaid and Erwin Denk the other attendant. A reception with a dinner and supper was held at the bride’s home for sixty relatives and friends.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gresl of Whitelaw and the groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Denk of Cato. Mr. and Mrs. Denk will make their home at Cato, the groom being engaged in farming there.
The out of town guests present at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gresl of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. A. Griesvach of Greenville, Ted Schmidt of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. George Gresl of Appleton and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pritzl of Greenville.
