Elmer Herschel Farrar, eldest of five children born to Estella Belle Irby Farrar & Herschel Lafe Farrar on April 3, 1922. His siblings were Ozell (1924-1982), Melvin (1925-1926), Norman (1927-1993) and Julius (only surviving). He married Loretta Davis, together they had Toya, Fayette, and Franklin. Elmer passed away on Dec. 16, 2011. He is survived by Loretta and children Toya, Fayette, Franklin, Bobbie, Connie, and Gail, in addition to his brother Julius, 15 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and his maternal aunt Bertha Irby Randle.
