OBITUARY :
VIRGINIA ANN (SOSTAR) ANGLE, 81, of Keedysville, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.

Born on August 31, 1929 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John Paul Sostar and Louise (Mummert) Sostar. She was raised by the late John and Mary Mummert (her maternal grandparents) in Hagerstown.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Harry L. Angle, Sr. having been married on February 26, 1955 for 46 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was devoted to serving the Lord.

Virginia attended Hagerstown High School and was trained as a nursing assistant.

She was employed by F.W. Woolworth Company, was a licensed daycare provider and retired from the American Greeting Card Company.

Virginia was a member of the Boonsboro Bible Church and also was a member of the Sharpsburg Bible Church and the Adult Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy A. and her husband Robert Hutzell, Robin L. and her husband Barry Swailes and Darlene K. Angle; her three sons, Harry L. Angle Jr., Jerry A. Angle, and Mark D. Angle and his wife Jayne; twelve granchildren, Kristin Hutzell, Kara and her husband Jason Frantz, Jeremy Angle and his wife Kim, Sara, Morgan, Kathryn, Jennifer, Marcus, Sam, Taylor and Tess Angle, and Caleb Rodgers; one great-grandson Logan Frantz; three great-granddaughters, Zoe Frantz, Mackenzie and Brooke Angle; and her sister Mary Lou (Sostar) Kline. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Virginia was preceded in death by one grandson, Harry L. Angle, III (Trey) and her great-grandson Blake London Frantz.

Virginia loved to cook, bake and make soft dough sugar cookies. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and great-grandhildren. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband and taking day trips with her sister. She loved serving the Lord and listening to Southern Gospel Music.

Viewing will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.

Viewing will also take place beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Sharpsburg Bible Church on the corner of Potomac and Antietam Streets in Sharpsburg, Maryland. Rev. Gene Renner and Rev. Ralph Jamison will officiate. Interment services will be held at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Hagerstown.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sharpsburg Bible Church Building Fund, Post Office Box 216, Sharpsburg, Maryland, 21782.
