My Brother, Glenn Edward Baker, 51, of Whitney went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 18, 2007. Glenn was born March 5, 1956 in Hillsboro to Clarence Milton and Susie Emma (Sheffield) Baker.
Glenn was a master at woodworking. He loved restoring antiques, making wood furniture, wooden ships made of matchsticks and many other wooden keepsakes.
He loved to cook and over many years he collected hundreds of recipes that he had perfected. He also enjoyed drawing, he created so many beautiful pictures over the years just to give them away to people for them to enjoy, that's what made him happy.
Glenn dearly loved to go fishing and camping at the lake. He loved just spending time outdoors and had a very deep devotion to nature. But his true passion was hunting arrowheads and Indian artifacts, which was his own unique way of connecting to his Indian heritage.
Glenn loved his children and his granddaughter's with all his heart, He just didn't know how to approach them and let them know how much he truly loved them all. Rest assured – he truly loved all of you!
He was a good son and brother. He loved his family very much. He will truly be missed by all of us and will always be in our hearts forever! Until we meet again Glenn! I will see you on the other side.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father; Clarence Milton Baker on June 18, 1986. Three sister's; Rev. Catherine Wakefield on October 16, 1999, Brenda Gayle Bugg on December 12, 2001 and Patsy Sue Hoff on July 10, 2006.
He is survived by his mother; Susie Emma (Sheffield) Baker of Whitney, His children; Amy Rena Edwards and Gregg Nail of Bowie. brother; Milton C. Baker of Whitney, Four sisters; Barbara Green and her husband Darrell of Wichita, Kansas, Mary Burrow and her husband Bobby of Whitney, Susie I. Baker of Whitney and Tammy McCartney and her husband Joe of Stephenville. Two precious granddaughters; Victoria Nail and Coty Lane Edwards and one grandson on the way, Hunter Gage Nail.
Non-Cemetery Burial, Cremated. Glenn Edward Baker was cremated. His remains now rest at Steele Creek Park (Bedrock) in Lake Whitney, Hill County, Texas
