Obituary published in the Bangor Daily News 21 Sep 1963: GREENVILLE---Mrs. Florence Louisa Wood, 89, died Monday evening at a Monson nursing home after a long illness.

She was born on March 12, 1874 at Armstrong, Quebec, the daughter of William and Sarah (Cathcart) Armstrong. She had been a resident of Greenville for 50 years and for the past three-and-one-half years had lived at Monson. She was a member of Lakeside Rebekah Lodge.

Surviving are one son, Stanley E. Wood of Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Iva M. Cross of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Templeton of Portland and Mrs. Amanda Lauridson of Jackman; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at the Harvey Funeral Home at Greenville Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John R Tolman officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery."
