Dan was born in Birmingham, Ala., but moved to Pensacola at age nine. He lived and worked in Miami, Fl., Houston, TX and Mobile, AL.
He was preceded in death by his very loving wife of 34 years, Joycelin Lloyd Bethany; grandmother, Tinnie Werhan; and his step-father Amos Williams.
Survivors include his mother, Ena Marie Williams; his most devoted step-daughter, Lynn Manthel, of Pensacola and her special friend, Tom Fisher, of Atlanta, GA,; grandchildren, Erik Lloyd Manthel and wife, Corina; Bryan Randall Manthel, of Washington, D.C. and Pensacola Beach and his special friend, Christy Wink, of Denver, CO. Sarah Manthel, of Rockford, MI.,; DeWayne Bethany, of Los Angeles, CA. many other cousins including John Mark and Wanda Stewart of Pensacola; special friends, Jessie Hurst, Mike Hand and Leo Geri.
