Laura P. McCall
Mrs. McCall, age 80,of 611 Gum Branch Road, died August 8, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital. A service to celebrate her life will be at 12:30 PM Monday, August 13, 2007 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Reverend Peggy Bridgers will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCall was born August 20, 1926 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Walter Floyd and Mamie Helms Penninger. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, was a graduate of Thomasboro High School, and was an outstanding athlete and played basketball. Mrs. McCall had been employed with North American Aviation in California and later with the Shell Plant in Charlotte.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Howard J. McCall; sister, Barbara Leviner and husband, Robert, of Charleston, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Cliff McCall.
