Mrs. Louise Burton Absher, daughter of the late Mr. Otis Burton and Mrs. Gracie Burton McQueary, was born December 5, 1930, in Adair County and departed this life on Wednesday, May 27,1992, at the Homewood Health Care Center in Glasgow.
She was 61 years, 5 months and 22 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bearwallow United Methodist Church.
She united in marriage to Mr. Lander Walker Absher on August 7, 1950, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1991. To this union were born three sons and one daughter, Barry Absher of Greensburg, Ruby Buckner and David Owen Absher, both of Summersville.
She was preceded in death by Otis Absher on February 17, 1953. She was also survived by two sisters, Daisy Burris of Columbia and Srena Burton of Troy, Ohio; three half sisters, Hazel Harmon of Springfield, Tennessee, Letta Duval of Louisville and Mable Vinson of Edinburg, Indiana; one halfbrother, Dennis McQueary of Columbia; five grandchildren, three step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services for Mrs. Louise Burton Absher were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Beaula Chapel Cemetery in Adair County.
Rev. Irvin Milby officiated. Pallbearers were Doug Absher, Phillip Dobson, Jerry Moss, William Moss, Robert Thompson and Otis Burton.
