Rosa Lena Locke was the daughter of Judson Lafayette and Sarah McKinzy Locke. She married Conovah Excell "Tom" Bunch in Wayne Co., Ms.
The couple had four children, and Rosa Lena was pregnant with a fifth child when she passed from this world. The baby, unnamed, is buried in Rosa Lena's arms at the Chicora Davis Cemetery in Wayne Co.
It is family knowledge that Rosa Lena was doing laundry in an old washtub on the porch of her home when she miscarried the infant. (Granny always said, "Momma turned over the washtub to empty it and lost the baby.")
The death certificate seems to substantiate this statement.
Her four living children remained in the care of their maternal grandparents.
