Anthony Frank Dries, 76, of Cordova, TN, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at his home. He was a retired electrician and member of the IBEW, Local 474; a Boy Scout Master for six years and donated labor and materials to build Camp Kia Kima; one of the founders and chairman of Gaisman Sports Association for 12 years and coach of the Rookies girls softball team. Mr. Dries was also inducted into the Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame for his work with Gaisman Sports Association. He is survived by his wife, Opal Green Dries; children, Lori Poley, John Dries (Sandy), Tim Dries (Angie), and Terri Rapacki (Ron Privette); brother, Robert Talley (Betty); grandchildren, Joshua Dries, Jacob Dries, Amanda Fowler (Daniel), Britney Dries, Amber Poley, Chance Privette, Max Privette and great-grandchildren, Clayton Fowler, Spencer Fowler and Aliyah Siggers. He was preceded in death by his son, Frank Dries. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, September 15 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home, with interment to follow.
