The following was an article from the Bristol Herald regarding the death of James William (JM) King.

"LEBANON, Va.--James William (J.M.) King, 69, of Route 3, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. A lifelong resident of the Hansonville area of Russell County, he was the son of the late Ed King and Pairlee King. He was a former employee of Pope Paving and was owner of J. W. King Trucking. He was a Christian of the Holiness Faith. He was U. S. Navy veteran and a member of Stuart Masonic Lodge 224 A.F.& A.M. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph King; three half brothers, Earnest (Pete) King, Allen King and J. C. Long. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 38 years, Anna Ruth "Sis" King; two sons, Danny King and his wife, Natalie, of Lebanon, and Jimmy King of the home; a very special grand daughter, Kelsey King of Lebanon; one sister: Nannue Easterly of Lebanon; three brothers, Paul King, Delmer King and Jearl King, all of Lebanon; special friends, Jolene and Ellie Hoffman; also several nieces and nephews."

JM and his wife "Sis" were great supporters of the Boothe Salyers Reunion and served on the Planning Committee to get this reunion going. It is held the Sunday before Labor Day at Hemlock Haven Conference Center, Hungry Mother's Park, Marion, Va. As long as he could, JM was there to support this event and fellowship with the relatives.
