Graveside Services for Mr. Dan T. Adams, 88, of Milburn, Oklahoma will be held on Monday, May 21st, 2012 at 10:00 a. m. at the Condon Grove Cemetery Pavilion in Milburn with Rev. Eugene Ledford officiating. Mr. Adams passed away on May 18th, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Dan was born on March 26th, 1924 in Emet, Oklahoma to Henry Thomas Adams and Annie Caroline "Katie" (Dunn) Adams. He attended Milburn Schools. Dan worked for a CCC camp during the depression in Colorado, for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, was an independent truck driver with wife Susie, farmed and retired from Johnston County District #2 as a heavy equipment operator. He loved to hunt and fish as his hobbies.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; four wives, Dorothy Swinner, Lola Dickerson, Susie Gunn and Dorothy Prince; a son, Bobby Adams, a great-granddaughter, Erin Riddle; three brothers, Bert,Bennie and Amos Adams and two sisters, Ana Adams and Beulah Tisdell.
Dan is survived by four sons, Tom Adams, Jerry Adams and wife Nila Ann, all of Fillmore, Don Adams of Tishomingo, Danny Adams and wife Peggy of Milburn; daughter-in-law, Joyce Adams of Atoka, Oklahoma; sister, Ruby Smith of Denison, Texas; sister-in-law, Juanita Adams of Tishomingo; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be: grandsons and granddaughters, Eric Adams, Jerry Wayne Adams, Jon Adams, Clint Adams, Katrinia McAlester, Linda Robins, Lee Ann Major, Natalie Davison, Crystal Peasely, Sheila Miller, Misty Frelish, Samatha Adams and Sirena Gibson.
