C. [sic] M. Aspinwall well known in county and owner of fine ranch. A. M. Aspinwall, one of the best known fruit growers and president of the Brooks Fruitgrowers association, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Portland at the age of 52 years. He had been a resident of Oregon about six years, coming here from Manchester, S. D. He owned a 21 acre farm at Brooks which is devoted principally to fruit culture. He gained a wide reputation with his fruit growing and was made president of the association at Brooks because of his success. The association handles loganberries principally.
He is survived by a wife and 11 children, nine sons and two daughters. The funeral will probably be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday from the home in Brooks. Burial at Odd Fellows cemetery in Salem.
