EVELYN WAUNETA BODEMAN, 85 years, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at the home of her daughter. Evelyn was born July 13, 1926, on the family homestead in Hayes County, Nebraska to Roy Clark and Morah Lea (Hanks) Korell. She was the only daughter, being raised with 6 brothers. She moved to Portland, OR shortly after graduating from high school. On Nov 1, 1949 she married Harlie F Bodeman in Camas, WA. Evelyn was a wonderful wife and caring mother.
She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors are her children: Dennis Eugene and Cynthia Lee. Two grandchildren: Natalie (Jesse) Brooks and Nicholas (Kristen) Bodeman; two great grandchildren: Preston and Landon Brooks, all of Portland. One brother, Gordon (Emma) Korell, Fairgrove, MO, sister-in-laws Faye Korell, McCook NE and Neva Korell, NE; and brother-in-laws, Arlie Bodeman, Portland OR and Jerry Newberry, Camas, WA, along with several nieces and nephews. We all miss her very much.
Service will be held May 15, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Baptist Church, Portland, with a burial in Finley-Sunset Hills following.
