William H. Adams, one of Eckford's highly respected former citizens passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Jennings in Ceresco at nine o'clock last evening after a short illness suffering with hardening of the arteries. Mr. Adams was born in Batavia, N. Y., and for fifty years has been a resident of the state of Michigan, forty-five years of his life being spent in Eckford township. He is survived by one son, Albert Adams of Eckford, three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jennings with whom he resided, Mrs. Margaret Hill of Chicago, Mrs. Agnes Percell of Ohio and one brother, S. A. Adams of Homer. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at one thirty o'clock from the home of his son, Albert Adams in Eckford and at two o'clock from the West Eckford church. Rev. M. M. Callen will have charge of the service. Burial will be given in the Cooks Prarie[sic] cemetery.
