Born Feb. 3, 1900 in Windber, daughter of Elmer and Ida (Murphy) Baumgardner. Preceded in death by parents, husband, John, stepson, William; sister, Ruth; brothers, Clarence and Bernard; and niece, Norma Rice. Sister of Virginia Hoffman (Roy), South Fork R.D.; Irene Plummer (George), Summerhill; Gladys Brennan (Henry), Salix; and Dean Barefoot (Leona), Sidman R. D. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ethel was a retired nurse from Baltimore City Hospital in Baltimore Md.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at George Funeral Home, Salix. Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Michael United Methodist Church, the Rev. Terry Mosholder. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
