Anna Mary Herr, of Brethren Village, formerly of Landisville, died Saturday, July 21, 2012.

Anna Mary was born in Landisville, the beloved daughter of Dr. John Trout Herr and Katharine Kauffman Herr.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Landisville.

Anna Mary graduated from Lebanon Valley College and Temple University where she earned degrees in music and piano performance. After a teaching career of 38 years, she returned to Landisville. In retirement, she cared lovingly for her mother and used her musical skills to enhance the joy of music for her Church and community. She accompanied both vocal and instrumental artists, played for retirement homes and community musical programs wherever needed.

She is survived by cousins and dear friends. She had the gift of friendship and warmed many hearts by her caring.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anna Mary's Life Celebration Memorial Service at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA, on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in ­Landisville New Mennonite Cemetery immediately following the Memorial Service.
