Quentin Joseph Aaberg, age 78, passed away at a local hospital on Saturday, July 21, 2012 after a lengthy battle with heart disease.

He was born in Houston, Texas to Quentin Aaberg Sr. and Grace Heller Aaberg. His early years were spent in Arcadia, Texas where his paternal grandparents owned a dairy farm. After the death of his mother, he lived in Alvin, Texas for a short while with his maternal grandparents who owned Heller's Nursery. He attended high school at Schreiner Institute, but transferred to Angleton High School where he graduated in 1951. He attended Texas A&M University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics in 1955. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Rucker in Alabama where he flew light planes and helicopters.
