George C. Davis Dies at Home on Maffry St. Today
George C. Davis, passed away this morning at ten-fifteen o'clock at his home on Maffry street. He was forty-seven years old. Mr. Davis bad been in poor health for some time. He recently returned from Kansas City where he had been for treatment in hope regaining health.
Mr. Davis Is well known in Macon and Macon county, having lived here practically all his life. Until a few years ago he was engaged in farming north of Macon, and was employed at the Strong Implement House.
He is survived by his wife and five children. Ross G.; Harold, Thelma, Earl and Russell; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Hart of Washington; Mrs. Marion Walker and Mrs. Hubert Walker of Macon, two brothers, Thomas Davis of North Dakota and Henry Davis of Macon, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two thirty at the Albert Skinner Home for Funerals. Rev. Ralph Wyrick, pastor of the First M. E. Church will conduct the services. Burial will be made in Oakwood.
