During the year 1827, John Aley (1791–1865 ) wed Maryland-born Susanna Hawker (Aley, 1807-1844), the second-born of the six children of Andrew Hawker (1768-1850) and Susanna (Coy) Hawker (1776-1867). Together, John Aley and Susanna (Hawker) Aley raised eight children. John Aley had no children by his first wife, Catherine Aley (1797-1826) whom he married in 1822, or by his third wife, Fanny (Beardsley) Aley (1801–1870) whom he wed during the year 1846.
