"Fred C. Chapman of Utica, died Tuesday of this week, in his home after a three-week illness. Mr. Chapman was born in Cooperstown, March 12, 1874, son of Daniel and Catherine (Pope) Chapman. He married Miss Lillian Mae Ward of Little Falls, 58 years ago. Mr. Chapman had lived in Utica 40 years. He was a cutter at the Oneita Knitting Company for 25 years and retired 10 years ago. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Chapman leaves his wife; a son, Fred Linwood Chapman, Utica; a sister, Mrs. Edith Fairchild, Milford; a brother, Ben L. Chapman, Tampa, Fla.; three granddaughters; a grandson and two great-grandchildren ...
