SUMMERFIELD — Hazel Dyer, 96, died.
Ms. Dyer was born in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Detroit, MI, at age 11. She resided in Boca Raton for 22 years before moving to Summerfield in 2009. She was an executive secretary for the Chrysler Corp. for 31 years. She enjoyed writing poetry; was an avid bowler, bowling in two leagues up to the age of 92.
Survivors include her sons James, The Villages, David, Grosse Ile, MI, and Dr. Wayne Dyer Lahaina, Hawai'i; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Marion County Hospice, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478-4860.
