D. Vincent Andrews, 78, Sarasota, died June 25, 2003. He was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and came to Sarasota in 1952 from Poughquag, N.Y.
He was a farmer and past president of Sarasota Grange 180 and of Florida State Grange from 1937 to 1987. He was a Methodist and a 32nd-degree member of Masonic Lodge 147, Sarasota.
Survivors include his wife, Madelin (Daley); daughters Cynthia L. Long of Sarasota and Carolyn F. Kulick-Siddall of Pittsboro, N.C.; a son, David J. of Sarasota; a brother, Donald C. of Royal Palm; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, with a service to follow, at Hawkins Funeral Home. A grange service will be at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Palms Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
