Robert Norman Kline Born Jan. 20th, 1923 in Greenfield, Ohio; passed away peacefully from natural causes at the age of 86 Wednesday, September 2, 2009 with his family by his side. Robert was raised in Pottsville, PA and moved to Washington in 1944. Robert was a veteran of the US Army and served in WWII. Robert married Yvonne Shoup and raised 7 children. Robert is survived by his wife Elinor Kline. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne, married 47 years, and Marilyn. Robert started a successful and lasting music company, Kline Music, in 1955. He was very active in the community, especially his work with the Elks as Exalted Ruler, Eagles, and All-Saints Church. Robert received numerous community service awards with his work in the Puyallup community. Robert was also a member of the VFW, and ushered at All Saints Church for over 50 years. Robert was especially proud of his work in the community for families in need. In 1960, as a member of the Puyallup Elks, Robert started a food and gift basket donation distribution at All Saints Church for needy families in the Puyallup area during the holiday season. He created a local school competition to make the event fun and rewarding for the students in the community and in turn help more and more families in need. The tradition continues today. Robert's smile, laugh, and playful wink were his trademarks.
