His middle name Quentin means fifth born. I am curious if he was the fifth born since some trees have him as the sixth child of Leroy Duncan. Possibly other trees list him as sixth child because he was listed sixth on his father's will… He could have been the sixth born or just listed out of order of birth on his father's will. More research needed.

1860 Carter Co. Census: Eli Duncan and family are enumerated right before the Rob Burchet family. It seems this is the family for which the Burchett-Plummer Cemetery is named after. That suggests that they were neighbors.

KY for $1.50 paid and $111 to be paid, amounting in the whole to $112.50, sell tract of land in Carter Co. KY on waters of Tiggir? (Tiggirs?) Creek, on a branch of the Morison Cave branch, containing 225 acres more or less, being part of the tract known as division No. 21 in a large tract of 80,400? acres granted by Governor of VA to Richard Graham by patent 1 Jan?. 1787, which Graham conveyed with other lands to Robert Morris, John Nicholson and James Greenleaf 5 Aug. 1787 and now of record in Greenup Co. KY Book H, pg.485? ... warrant title except so far as grantors hereby reserved, ... notes of even date, $56 payable in one year with interest and the other for $55 payable in 2 years with interest. /s/ Gorham Parks, Mary A. Parks. Wit. Rufus Parks, T.F. Jordon. They appeared before John Bissell, Commisioner of State, City & County of New York, Dec. ?25? 1855. Recorded 23 May 1856. (FHL film 344,057)
