Gladys Marie Hardy, 90, of Mount Jackson, VA, passed away on February 15th, 2012.

Born in Staunton, VA on April 13th, 1921, she was a lifelong resident of the Washington D.C. area and was married to the late Richard Edward Hardy on Oct.7, 1939.

She is survived by four daughters;and the late Brenda Ford. She was a loving Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother, as well as Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of her generation in her family and will be greatly missed by all.
Burial arrangements under the direction of National Memorial ParkGladys Marie Hardy, 90, passed away Wednesday at her home.

She was the mother of Diane Campbell of Conicville. Gladys was from Georgetown, Washington D.C. She enjoyed listening to live music and dancing.

Surviving are daughters, Dorothea Carlisle of Florida, Patricia McAllister of Falls Church, and Barbara Mitchell of Centreville.
Preceding her was husband Richard and daughter Brenda Ford.

She has 22 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed and loved by everyone that knew her. Special thanks to Blue Ridge Hospice who was a great help until her death.
