MRS. MATTIE A. LE FEVRE

Mrs. Mattie A. LeFevre, aged 71 years, wife of George W. LeFevre, who lived on the old Middlebury road, just east of Goshen avenue, died at 10 o'clock this morning of apoplexy. She was stricken Monday evening, and never regained consciousness.

Mrs. LeFevre, who was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Longnecker of Holmes county, Ohio, was born July 20, 1850, the youngest of a family of 11 children. For many years, she taught school in St. Joseph county, Ind. On July 12, 1877, her marriage to Mr. LeFevre took place at Saline City, Ind. To them were born six children, two of whom, Albert and Warren LeFevre, preceded her ind death. Mrs. LeFevre had resided for the last 18 years at the home on the Middlebury road. She was known as a devoted mother and a consistent member of the Christian Science church.

Surviving her are her husband, four children - Mrs. Henry Baer and Ralphus L., Charles G., and R. Haldine LeFevre, all of this city; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three sisters - Mrs. Leah Stevic of Wooster, Ohio, Mrs. Maron Barnhart of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Addie Rohrer of this city.

The funeral service will be at 2 o'clock Friday at the home and the burial will take place at Rice cemetery.
