Odelean Odell Conner, 87, of Collinsville, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.

She was born on March 16, 1917, in Patrick County, to Richard Odell and Lillie Foster Odell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Cline Edward Conner; two sisters, Elva Smith and Lessie Spencer; and two brothers, Posey Lester Odell and Leonard Odell.

She retired from Bassett Furniture Industries after 30 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bassett.

Surviving are two sons, Eddie Conner and David Conner, both of Collinsville; a sister, Irene Sledge of Bassett; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 2 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Lew Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends for an hour before the service.
