Roy E. "Jack" McGowen III., 74, of Monrovia, IN, died on July 20, 2012. Roy "Jack" was born to Roy E. McGowen II. & Dorothy (Shotts) McGowen on January 13, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN.

Jack married Reva J. (Wilson) McGowen on May 17, 1963.

He retired as a Supervisor from Carrier Heating & Air Conditioning after 30 years of service. Jack is a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church,and a member and Past Master of Eminence Masonic Lodge #440. Jack loved the outdoors.

Jack has lived in Monrovia, IN for the past 30 years and his birthplace of Indianapolis, IN for several years.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Reva J. (Wilson) McGowen of Monrovia, IN; 4 children, Pat McGowen of Camby, IN, Pam Henry of Indianapolis, IN, Shannon Stepancik of Mooresville & Bob Paugh of Indianapolis, IN; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; stepmother, Evelyn McGowen of Martinsville; 2 sisters, Dixie Wagoner & Kim Goldsberry & 2 brothers, Michael & Timothy McGowen.

Preceded in death by parents, Roy E. McGowen II. & Dorothy (Shotts) McGowen & a daughter, Connie Walker.

The Eminence Masonic Lodge #440 will have a masonic service at 7:30pm, Monday, July 23, 2012 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center.

Pastor Mark Boardman will officiate the 10am funeral service on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center.

Jack will be laid to rest at Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles, IN at 12:30pm, Tuesday, July 24, 2012.
