Clifford Hugh Jewell was born August 30, 1925 to David F. Jewell and Mildred R. Jewell, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.
Cliff served in the US Navy during World War II in the South Pacific, and then attended the University of Tulsa and received his CPA certification. He spent his career in public accounting where he made many wonderful friends that were also his clients. Cliff joined the Masonic Lodge while he was in his 20's, and was a faithful member and leader for over 60 years. He received the honorary degree 33◦ in the Scottish Rite. Some of his closest friends were Masons. Cliff and Mary were faithful members of Yale Avenue Christian Church for 50 years and served in numerous capacities.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife, and his three children and their spouses. He has five grandchildren and his faithful grand-dog Bella. Cliff is also survived by his sister, his sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother Dave (Bud) Jewell of Dallas, TX.
Cliff had Alzheimer' Disease, and for the past year has been at the Claremore Veteran's Center. The family greatly appreciates the care and concern shown to him during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 29 from 2pm until 4pm at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at Yale Avenue Christian Church on Monday, July 30, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Cliff's memory to Yale Avenue Christian Church or The Alzheimer's Association. Moore's Southlawn
