Nov 25, 2007 | 2 views | 0 | 0 | | GRAND RIVERS, Ky. -- C.S. "Charlie" Maxwell, 90, died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007, at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City.
Maxwell A native of Haleyville, Ala., Mr. Maxwell was employed with the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and later transferred to Union Carbide in Paducah where he retired as Superintendent of Instruments. He was a charter member of the Instrument Society of America and was recognized for 50 years of membership. He enjoyed a love for hunting, fishing and golfing and was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Maxwell; and a brother, J.C. Maxwell. His parents were Joe Maxwell and Jessie Ratliff Maxwell.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers. Randall Evans will officiate.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah.
