Glenn W. Rinderer the son of John Rinderer and Louise Johanna (Hediger) Rinderer was born July 30, 1921 on the family farm near Grantfork, Madison County, Illinois.

He grew up on farms in Saline Township, Leef Township and St. Jacob Township in Madison County, Illinois. He attended a country school. He worked as a laborer most of his life. In his late years, Glenn worked as a custodian for the Edwardsville School System.

Glenn moved to Marine in the 1940s and resided there until his death. He enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales. Glenn also participated at the Edwardsville Senior Center for many years.

Glenn was a member of the United Church of Christ of Marine. He was also a member of Laborers Local 397 of Granite City.

Glenn Rinderer was preceded in death by his parents John and Louise Rinderer and siblings:

Lester Louis Rinderer
and Lucille Mae (Rinderer) Miener

Glenn Rinderer passed away on July 27, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland. He was buried in Highland City Cemetery on July 30, 2012 the Rev. Philip H. Kershner, pastor of the Marine United Church of Christ, officiated.
