Diana Yang Guo, born on August 16, 1993, was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia on July 31st and passed away peacefully on August 6, 2008. Diana just graduated from Inglewood Jr. High where she played Volleyball and was Captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. Besides excelling in sports and academics, she was an accomplished cello player and was a member of the Junior Seattle Symphony Orchestra. Diana loved to laugh and always brought a smile to everyone's face. She has a wide range of friends who all miss her very much. Diana really looked forward to starting her new high school life at Redmond High School. She is survived by her parents Di (Dean) and Fuxiu; and two younger siblings: Adam 9 and Molly 12.

Her birthday party and celebration of life was held Saturday, August 16, 2008, at the Overlake Christian Church, Redmond, WA 98052.

Diana was diagnosed with Leukemia seven days before her passing. She had a rare case in which her white blood cell count was extremely high, and she didn't have enough platelets. Her case was extrememly unusual, in fact, only 500 cases of this tyoe of Leukemia are diagnosed each year in the United States.
