Virgie M. Hennen, 92, of Burton, WV died Tuesday, January 8, 2002 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. She was born June 3, 1909 at Flaggy Meadow near Mannington a daughter of the late Jacob and Bessie Hayes Hamilton.

Mrs. Hennen was a homemaker and loved piecing quilts and working with her flowers. She was a protestant by faith.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Raymond Hennen of Burton and Denzil and Bonnie Hennen of Cameron; two daughters, Anna Haines Jones of Bridgeport, WV and Evelyn Hennen of Fairmont; two grandchildren and spouses, Herbert and Linda Haines of Bridgeport and Penny and Jason Burkhart of Fairmont; three great grandchildren and spouses, Gilford and Vickie Haines, Brian and Mary Haines and Melissa and Eric Hutson; two great-great grandchildren, Dylan and Brice Haines; two sisters-in-law and spouse, Maude and Olen Fordyce and Gladys Hamilton.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Russell Hennen, who died on March 25, 1992; a son, Richard Hennen on November 28, 1992; two sisters, Janie Sturms and Nellie Hibbs; three sisters who died in infancy; two brothers, Joe Hamilton and George Hamilton.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Thursday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Mannington Memorial Park.
